Who Was The Inventor of This amazing Contraption,? Pshh.. You Guessed it. FARMERS..!

Farmers invented this device, the Shadoof was a long pole balanced on a horizontal wooden beam. At one end of the pole was a weight and the other was a bucket. From what i have heard, they didn't always use buckets to pull up the water, they used a thick material or some sort of bowl to pull up the water. This device[shadoof] used to bring water up from the canals.
